Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 7, 2026

The Spec Life (“we,” “us”) publishes a free weekly email newsletter about tech, AI, hardware, and software at thespeclife.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Email address: when you subscribe, you give us your email address.

Signup details: our newsletter platform records basic information about your signup, such as the date, the page you signed up from, and your general location based on your IP address.

Server logs: our web host automatically records standard technical information when you visit, such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested.

We never ask for passwords, payment details, or government ID numbers.

How we use it

To send you the newsletter you signed up for. To learn which content readers find useful so we can improve it. To keep the site and newsletter secure and working. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

beehiiv, our newsletter platform, stores subscriber information and sends our emails on our behalf. Their privacy policy: https://www.beehiiv.com/privacy

Hostinger, our web host, processes server logs to run this site.

We may disclose information if required by law.

Affiliate links

The Spec Life is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click an affiliate link, Amazon and other third parties may serve content, collect information directly from you, and place or read cookies in your browser. Their use of that information is covered by their own privacy policies.

Cookies and similar tools

Our signup form is provided by beehiiv and may use cookies or similar tools to record where a signup came from. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you opt out of interest-based advertising in their privacy settings.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. Because there is no common standard for responding to these signals, this site does not currently respond to them.

Your choices

Unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of every email. To review, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, email mr.rubio2727@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

The Spec Life is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has subscribed, contact us and we will delete their information.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you, and we delete your information on request.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and announce material changes in the newsletter.
